Global Migration Group is a large agency that brings various organizations together. The main aim of the migration group is to promote a broad application of the relevant regional and international norms and instruments in matters that relate to civil, immigration, and human rights. They encourage other agencies to adopt excellent, comprehensive, and coherent approaches in order to deal with issues of international migration.

GMG was started by the secretary general of the United Nations in 2006. It started with limited membership and is now a big organization. Members of the agency meet at regular intervals to discuss issues concerning human rights. Global Migration Group consists of 10 organizations that work together.

The major organizations in the group include International Labour Organisation, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, United Nations Population Fund, World banks, and Global Rights.

UNHCR is an organization that has full mandate to deal with issues that concern refugees. They find long term solutions for settling refugees permanently. They also contribute in ranges of migration including forced migration as a result of political wars or natural disasters. Mike and Jim assist several states to address issues of mixed migratory systems, analysis and data collection, secondary movements of employees, and internal displacement.

The primary goal of UNDP is to maximize the development of the advantages of migration for developing countries. The organization is responsible for providing refugees with education and necessary skills to improve local investment and strengthen government economy. Global rights protect the rights of people who are marginalized with regards to the capacity building. The deep commitment works to increase justice among the marginalized and poor groups. It also protects women rights and fights for gender equality.

They also fight for the less privileged in the societies including transgender and intersex. They allow them to explore new areas and programs and target them to fit within the terms of the laws and regulation of the country.

Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund donate money to assist charity organizations in the local area. Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey are the co-founders of the Phoenix New Times and Voice Media. They were arrested by Sheriff Joe Arpaio in October 2007 when they published articles about him. The settlement case was about $3.75 million. They were later released, and the settlement money was given back to them.

They vowed to support organizations and groups that advocate for human civil and migrant rights in Arizona.
